INJECTABLES
Kaikoura Aesthetics only injects products approved by Med Safe NZ. There are 3 approved botulinum toxins which are Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin®; two of which are provided in clinic. Dermal filler and botulinum toxin can only be injected by a Registered Nurse, Dentist or Doctor in NZ, therefore it is essential you are aware that your injector is appropriately trained and qualified.

Botulinum Toxin
Botulinum toxin is a non-surgical, injectable treatment that effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is highly customizable, with dosages and product placement discussed with our skilled practitioner during the consultation process. Depending on the client's goals and desired look, our practitioner will work to create a personalized treatment plan that achieves the best possible results. The effects of Botulinum toxin typically take around 2 weeks to fully appear and can last for 3-4 months, although individual results may vary. The main areas I treat are forehead, frown, and crows feet; however there are many other areas that can be treated but not advertised due to be 'off-label'. Please enquire for any questions. Dermal Filler
At Kaikoura Aesthetics, we exclusively use hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers for our dermal filler treatments. This means that our products can be easily reversed and fully dissolved if necessary, providing our clients with peace of mind and flexibility. Our dermal fillers are used to rejuvenate the face and skin without the need for surgical intervention. By restoring volume loss and enhancing projection and definition, our dermal fillers can provide natural-looking results that leave our clients feeling confident and beautiful. Because HA is already present in our skin, these fillers integrate seamlessly into our tissue, creating a harmonious and natural appearance. Results can vary based on the product and dosage used, as well as the specific areas targeted during treatment. Our practitioner will discuss your goals and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that achieves the best possible results. With immediate effects that can last from 6-18 months, our HA dermal fillers are a safe, effective, and long-lasting way to achieve a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a hyaluronic acid-based, minimally invasive injectable treatment used to improve fine lines and wrinkles around your forehead, frown, eyes and mouth. The highly concentrated formula provides deep hydration to your skin and improves skin texture.
Viscoderm Hydrobooster is a fantastic option if you want to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve the quality and hydration of your skin.
The hyaluronic acid-based treatment works on the deeper layers of your skin, helping to smooth and stretch the appearance of wrinkles and revitalise your skin from within. It also helps to stimulate collagen production, which naturally declines as you age.
The number of recommended treatments will vary depending on the condition of your skin. In general, 2 treatments are scheduled 8 weeks apart; repeating treatments after 6 months to ensure long-lasting results.
Commonly asked Qs about Anti-Wrinkle and Dermal Filler
Anti-Wrinkle
Dermal Filler
Q. How does it work?
Anti-wrinkle injectables works by blocking the chemical signal that the brain sends to the muscle telling the muscle to contract. In effect, this can help relax and lift the muscle which can soften the look of lines to give a tighter and smoother appearance.
Q. When does it work?
Q. How much can I get?
Q. How long does it last?
Q. Can you get treatment while pregnant?
Q. Can you treat multiple areas in the same session?
Yes you can! Your cosmetic injector will discuss this with you during your consultation. Just let them know what you’re looking for and they can advise based on safety and medical best-practice.
Q. What areas can I treat?
The most common areas for anti-wrinkle injections that we treat are crow’s feet (lines around the outer eyes), glabella or frown lines (between the eyes) and the forehead. There are other areas that can be treated but cannot be advertised as it is considered 'off label'. This does not mean we cannot treat this area, we cannot publicly mention it. If you're interested in knowing what areas we can treat, send a text or email, or book a free consult in your selected location.
Q. How long does dermal fillers last?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be quickly dissolved using an enzyme known as hyaluronidase. This acts to disperse hyaluronic acid, speeding up the natural breakdown of the dermal filler. The use of hyaluronidase to remove fillers is off-license, so your practitioner will only go ahead if it is “in the best interest of the patient on the basis of available evidence”.
You will notice results immediately after treatment. You may expect swelling or some bruising at the sight of treatment. This will subside over the next 24-48 hrs, however bruising and some tenderness may last longer.
Dermal fillers contain a local anaesthetic that takes effect once injected. However, numbing cream may be applied before injecting to relieve any discomfort during injection. Other tools are given to help alleviate any pain. Your comfort is of our utmost importance so will talk you through the entire injection process.
Yes, you can be treated with Botulinum Toxin and dermal filler at the same time
